Dirt separators are an important part of systainable and efficient installations. In heating- and cooling systems the dirt separator eliminates all impurities that mainly consist of little particles of sand and rust. Dirt in installations needs to be avoided at all cost since it causes damage to pomps, boilers, all kind of components... Persistent kinds of dirt are magnetite and hermatite (known as red rust). With the Caleffi dirt separator DIRTMAG® we can guarantee a fast collection of all kinds of dirt particles. 
 
Working principle
The large volume of the dirt separator slows down the velocity of the fluid. The separation takes place due to the fact that the dirt particles collide against the recticular shaped internal element and drop to the bottom. The large surfaces in the internal element combine an efficient dirt separation with low resistance.
