On 27 September Caleffi received Grundfos Supplier Award 2010 as best components supplier. Marco Caleffi, President, Sergio Casarino, Sales Manager, and Thomas Heising, Export and OEM Area Manager took part in the ceremony in Bjerringbro (see picture). 
 
Klavs Hornum, Vice President, said Grundfos is highly satisfied with the high degree of consistency in delivery and service experienced in all parts of the business with Caleffi.  "Caleffi has been very active in working out innovative solutions for our customers", he added. 
Caleffi scored the highest total value ever reached by a supplier within the Grundfos Supplier Award: 93% on the measurable performance indicators (price, quality and so on) and 9,55 out of 10 points for the soft indicators, such as cooperation, R&D performance, availability, stakeholder feedback.
 
"It is a great honour for us to receive the award from a great and strong company like Grundfos", said CEO Marco Caleffi, emphasising that the award belongs to all staff and not only the few receiving it in Denmark. A special thanks to, among others: Giorgio Fontaneto, Andrea Milani, Filippo Portigliotti and Alessandra Calderoni.
 
An annual production of more than 16 million pump units makes Grundfos one of the world’s leading industry manufacturers. Established in Denmark in 1945, it has a staff of 16.700 employees and is represented by more than 80 companies in more than 55 countries. 2010 turnover reached 2,600 million euros. 
Caleffi supplies various types of valves, such as safety valves, air vents, pressure relief valves in brass and composite. All are used for the UP OEM business.
